Welcome to Crafty X Chromosomes (CXC). We are a mother-daughter duo with over 30 years of scientific experience, published research, and a passion for lifelong learning. Together, we blend the wisdom of a seasoned scientist with the fresh perspective of a new generation, finding joy and inspiration in both the lab and the countryside.

This website is lovingly dedicated to our daughter, niece and cousin, Emma, whose strength and resilience during her battle with cancer inspires us every day. Her courage reminds us to keep fighting for what matters and to find beauty and creativity even in difficult moments. Crafty x Chromosomes stands as a tribute to Emma’s spirit—and to everyone seeking hope, joy, and connection through crafting. We carry forward her simple, powerful wish: “I hope you are happy.”
