Hey everyone, I want to share with you an update on the Michigan crochet market March 29. First though, I took a little break in January for an amazing trip to Japan with my husband and some of our closest friends. It was exactly what I needed. We saw a sumo tournament, explored so many temples and shrines, played in arcades, visited snow monkeys, caught mountain views… and ate so well (ramen, udon, sushi, pastries, fruit, and the iconic 7-Eleven sandwiches). It was a lot of fun.

Now I’m back and fully in crafty and crochet mode—especially with summer season coming up for Crafty X Chromosomes! I’ve been getting ready for the latest Michigan crochet market March 29, at the Cranbrook Institute of Science. To get ready, I’ve been trying out some new patterns to widen our selection and creating those popular mystery boxes that were a hit last fall. It was so fun to see all the kids’ faces light up with excitement as they opened the boxes! I’m also designing a few STEM-inspired pieces of our own (flasks! petri dishes!) to highlight at the market. We also thought this was a wonderful place to formally showcase our integration of science and crochet. We hope that you can stop by and see us. More information can be found here. Can’t wait to see what’s next this year! -Megs
